The final day of EXPCON 2021 had a little bit of everything for everyone. There were 32 breakout sessions, the Expo Hall was packed with 41 vendors and services, entrepreneur Grant Cardone gave a raw and fiery fireside chat, eXp World Holdings Founder and CEO Glenn Sanford gave a Champagne toast to donors to New Story and it all ended with a closeout party at Drai’s Nightclub, a premier venue on the Vegas Strip.
These events wrapped up three days of EXPCON 2021, a multi-day conference now in its 12th year in which eXp Realty’s agents, brokers and staff attend to network and collaborate. In reviewing the numbers, there were more than 8,500 attendees and over 3,000 who joined virtually. (Read the press release here.)
Highlights of EXPCON 2021 include:

Agents Had 12 Breakout Tracks and 32 Sessions to Choose From
Each year during EXPCON, the breakouts tend to draw enthusiastic eXp agents eager to network as well as build their knowledge base. The halls of the convention center buzzed with conversations between sessions as attendees moved from room to room. During each session, speakers would share their expert takeaways and strategies on topics ranging from agent attraction, team leadership, the power of data and global success. There were 12 different breakout tracks and 32 sessions offered in EXPCON 2021, including:

“Untold YouTube Secrets for Massive Growth in 2022” — One session in the Firestarter track that drew a lot of interest was “Untold YouTube Secrets for Massive Growth in 2022.” Calgary eXp agent Mike Sherrard and Texas eXp agent Connor Steinbrook led the presentation, sharing their personal journey to success and then giving examples of how to apply their knowledge to the audiences’ lives and businesses.
“You have dreams,” Steinbrook said, “ This is a company where dreams come true.”
When talking about the power of YouTube, Sherrard connected the importance of building your brand to planting seeds for success in the future.
“When you have a strong personal brand, no matter what avenue you take, you will always have a competitive advantage,” Sherrard said.
“Unstoppable Attraction With Women of Influence” — Attendees interested in the 5 Years to 500,000 track received honest advice and anecdotes from the “Unstoppable Attraction with Women of Influence” panel.
Cincinnati’s Monica Weakley moderated panelists Jana Caudill of Naples, Florida; Tina Caul of Raleigh, North Carolina; Noelle Nielsen of Minnesota; and Mary Maloney of San Diego — each respectfully a powerful leader in their organizations and markets.
When it comes to sharing eXp’s model with other agents, Tina Caul learned from her experiences.
“Show, don’t tell. Lead from value, lead from relationships, lead from patience,” Caul said.
Other key takeaways from the leaders included facing the things you fear most first and moving beyond rejection. Also, even if you hear “no” hundreds of times, there’s always a “yes” waiting to be found.
“Unshakeable & Unapologetic: Selling with Confidence” — Nakia Evans of Baltimore lit up the main stage with her talk “Unshakeable & Unapologetic: Selling with Confidence” which was part of the Firestarter track. Evans appeared as the final speaker in the main auditorium before Glenn Sanford and Grant Cardone took the stage for their fireside chat. Using no notes and speaking from the heart, Evans shared her story and guided the audience how they, too, could create a path to a business full of freedom. She encouraged listeners to find their personal “why” and always share the realest version of themselves, flaws and all.
“The biggest thing about confidence is coming into a room with everything you have and the people around you leave wanting more,” Evans advised.
The core of her talk pushed audience members to embrace their authentic selves as their most valuable asset to their business.
Lots of Swag, Headshot Opportunities and Networking in the Expo Hall
This year’s Expo Hall was brimming with activity. Around every corner, the massive ballroom was filled with vendor and exhibitor booths, including those of services offered by eXp Partners. At the center of the Expo Hall was a “lawn” that offered a perfect respite from the crowded halls and long walks in the convention space. Attendees were challenged to collect unique pins found at booths and in return, they got a free headshot or donated to New Story.
eXp World: The Expo Hall even offered visitors a chance to step into a re-creation of eXp World, eXp’s virtual world where eXp agents and staff work daily. Life-size avatar cut-outs and familiar blue pathfinding signs against the eXp World backdrop perfectly captured eXp’s virtual world, offering a popular photo opportunity.
eXp Brand Store: Another hot spot in the Expo Hall was the eXp Brand Store. This week, the store launched several new products, including a variety of polos, T-shirts, hats, drinkware and I Heart eXp merchandise. All proceeds from I Heart eXp merchandise go directly to eXp’s eXtend a Hand, which raises money for eXp Realty agents, brokers, and their families in times of need.
eXp Partners: All of eXp Partners were on hand, including Build A Sign, America’s Preferred Home Warranty, Utility Connect, The CE Shop, DepositLink, ExpressOffers, Making It Rain, Silverline Title & Escrow, Currencies Direct, Curbio, Young Alfred, SUCCESS Coaching, eXp Agent Healthcare.

Sanford and Valdes Toast Donors Who Contributed to New Story Initiative
Later in the afternoon on Thursday, Michael Valdes, President of eXp Global, and Glenn Sanford, eXp Realty Founder and CEO, gave a toast, thanking donors who contributed to eXp Realty’s partnership with national nonprofit New Story. This joint effort is to raise funds to build 100 homes in the Morelos region of Mexico, which was hit with a devastating earthquake in 2017. Because Sanford believes in this cause so much, he has committed to personally match donations up to $300,000.
Valdes announced the fundraising effort is midway to the goal with enough funds to build 50 new homes.
“The one act of giving someone a home can change the destiny of their lives,” Sanford said. “You think about how we ultimately stay happy. It’s not about getting, it’s really in what you do for others that keeps you charged. The ability to help others adds meaning to what we do every day.”
