Maurice Murphy, also known as “Tha Bearded One,” earns his nickname with his distinctive and memorable beard, ensuring he’s a truly unforgettable connection. Maurice had a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 24 years as a Surface Warfare Officer. Then he plugged into real estate in Jacksonville, Florida, where his career took off after joining eXp Realty in 2020.
“Before joining eXp Realty, I found myself not sure where I was going or what my intention was with my real estate business from my previous brokerages. Among the items were the limited opportunities for growth, inadequate support and training, insufficient technology and marketing resources, and a lack of a collaborative and innovative culture.
“eXp Realty truly addressed these concerns by offering a cloud-based platform with robust training, advanced technology tools, a supportive community, and a unique revenue-sharing model, providing agents with the resources and environment to thrive professionally.”
Maurice was also impressed by eXp’s deep sense of collaboration and community.
“I joined because of the massive access to a major network of agents all across the country and eventually all across the globe. Additionally, the inclusive culture, sense of camaraderie, and collaboration within the eXp community truly help those individual agents and team leaders seeking a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
“Since joining, I have been a six-figure agent each year and have had the opportunity to bring on 22 agents to my network. I have created multiple streams of income for my business and had the growth potential I never would have had at any of my previous brokerages.”
