Gina Saad was 18 years old when she obtained her real estate salesperson license in order to join the family business.

“My dad was a real estate developer, so it was almost expected of us,” she said.

At 21, Gina got her broker’s license, and a few years later ventured out on her own to focus more on listings and selling properties rather than real estate development.

After 10 years of owning her own brokerage, and another decade at two large realty firms, Gina became intrigued when she started to hear the buzz about eXp Realty.

“A few of the agents in our office at the time had left for eXp, but no one really knew the ins and outs of it,” she said. 

While Gina also was unsure of how a virtual brokerage would run in lieu of a brick-and-mortar operation, she had a great conversation with an eXp managing broker and decided to follow her curiosity, along with the many other agents she knew. She joined eXp in 2021.

Now, less than two years later, Gina serves as the designated managing broker for Southern California. She would like to build on the skills of her predecessors and continue to grow the region, specifically by working more closely with local agents.

“My passion is training, and I love visiting branch offices,” Gina said. “I’d love to host more local, in-person events so that our agents have the best of both worlds, the cloud-based efficiency and the interaction with one another.

“I was surprised how efficient working in a virtual world could actually be.”

What kind of collaboration have you experienced at eXp?

“The entire eXp Brokerage Operations team engages with each other at a state level to a national level with workshops and chats to keep each other updated.”

Best tip to share with agents:

“Be a resource! As we move into a market where homeowners will need our help more than ever, they will need our expertise, so be resourceful, be knowledgeable, know your local stats, become the expert they think of when they need real estate services.”

My father, who has survived two cardiac arrests and a stroke and continues to take on each day with an attitude of gratitude.
