There are two things you notice when you meet identical twins Scott and Sean Bautista. For one, they are truly identical – it’s hard to tell them apart. And two, they are always impeccably dressed, which for Seattle’s fleece-and-jeans crowd, makes them stand out.

The Bautista brothers have an affinity for high-end items – bespoke suits, luxury homes, high-end cars and watches, which is a trait also shared by Calgary agent Mike Sherrard, the person who convinced Scott and Sean that eXp Realty is the place they should be.

“We are seen as luxury agents,” said Sean. “And when we saw Mike move to eXp, we learned more about it. He broke everything down for us. He has the same vision and core values we do of being better and elevating yourself.”

Sean and Scott and their team of 12 joined eXp in September 2021.

Scott was the first to get into real estate, working with Windermere. Meanwhile, Sean was working his way up the ladder at BMW Seattle. Through these experiences, they honed their sales and presentation skills.

“Our dad is a New Yorker and he discoed his way into the 1970s and 80s,” said Sean. “He was always well-dressed and made a great first impression. We adopted that look and attitude as our brand, too.”

When and why did you join eXp?

“We joined in September 2021. Scott and I grew a team of 16 locally here in Seattle but saw a vision of expanding globally. The model is fully duplicable and fully scalable. We heard about eXp through Mike Sherrard and wanted to align with the best. Also, we now have three different ways to create wealth through company stock, revenue share and being an ICON agent.”

Is there a significant experience you can share since you joined eXp?

EXPCON was amazing! We got to network with agents across the globe and see amazing keynote speakers Grant Cardone, Venus Williams and Mario Lopez. The energy of this company is on another level. Also, our collaboration with Mike Sherrard has been epic.” 

What is one thing about eXp that surprised you?

“One thing that surprised us is the culture. We attended the Build Conference in Dallas and the atmosphere was electric. We love how the top producers were willing to share their knowledge and help out whether it’s selling homes or building your rev share.”

Best tip to share with other agents:

“Mindset is the number one thing! Always be thankful for everything going on in your life. Practicing gratitude has changed our lives for the best. Also, don’t be afraid to put out content on social media. You never know who’s watching.”
