When you look at the future of real estate, look to Utah’s Michael Perry. He heads the Perry Group, a 52-agent team in Salt Lake City he co-founded, completing $22 million in sales volume on 52 transactions in 2020.
Perry is not one to stand by and wait for things to happen — he makes things happen. So when he realized his affiliation with Keller Williams was holding back his team, he turned to eXp.

Perry chose real estate when his college football career suddenly halted due to a knee injury. Since school was “never his jam,” he turned to his father’s profession — real estate. The two are now working together at the Perry Group where his dad, Jack, and friend Mason Conley started the robust brokerage.
“We’re loving it,” said Michael. “It’s a really cool relationship to have raw emotion with your dad — even if you disagree and even if you’re working through the same goal. Our personalities are wildly different, but our ultimate mission is to protect the culture and to scale nationally.”

Best tip to share with other agents:
“Constantly be a step ahead of the consumer. Remember that it’s critical that the focus is on the “why” of the consumer. It’s vital that you know the data behind the changing market.”
