For Katherine, it started at Marriott International where she held a variety of sales positions. She then added real estate sales to her resume and started at Highline Residential as a team leader and transitioned to Brown Harris Stevens in the summer of 2020 to grow her sales business. That coincided with the start of her travel business in 2019, Habitats by Kat, a platform that allows anyone to earn passive income through travel bookings.

At the start of 2021, she joined forces with Propertyhero.ai, which provides inventory tracking, asset and maintenance management software for real estate investors, short-term rental properties, and homeowners. The software can also be used in hotels, churches, and gyms.

After 10 years in the hotel industry and 5 years in the real estate industry, she looks forward to showing property owners and investors how to better manage their assets and daily maintenance tasks through easy-to-use software. When and why did you join eXp? 

“I moved to eXp April 2023 and joined for a variety of reasons. The market in NYC is extremely competitive and sales cycles are entirely different when compared to other markets across the country. As my business started to take off, I faced various obstacles that limited my ability to scale: A lack of technology, a lack of turn-key marketing solutions and a commission structure that did not allow me to reinvest back into my business. Everywhere I turned, it seemed like an uphill battle to launch marketing campaigns, organize my clients, deals and follow up while earning enough to invest back into my business and recruit other talented agents to work alongside me.”

Who introduced you?

“When I connected with (eXp Realty agent) Cari Briner, she helped me understand the technology, marketing platform and commission model. I realized what an innovative and forward-thinking company eXp is. Do you specialize in certain types of real estate

“I specialize in multifamily and condo/co-op sales in NYC. I also support investors in acquiring new properties and managing their rental vacancies. Outside of these deal types, my key differentiator is the true hospitality and service I provide when advising a client. I do a majority of my business in Upper Manhattan and the following areas in Brooklyn: Williamsburg, Park Slope and Prospect Park South.”
