When she moved from Brazil to Philadelphia in 2008, Andresa Guidelli’s goal was to earn a second master’s degree in professional business communication at La Salle University and find a corporate job.
During her last semester there in 2011, she decided to do door-to-door sales. It was challenging dealing with slammed doors and quotas, but it helped her become more resilient and ultimately gain valuable and transferable sales skills. After hearing from her then-manager about “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” a book by Robert Kiyosaki, it changed her life.
“It’s about building wealth from investing in real estate and the mentality of how to do that,” Guidelli said. “That was a very specific turning point. I decided to attend a real estate training program and six months later, I bought my first house, rehabbed, appealed the appraisal, pulled a HELOC (home equity line of credit) and reinvested the funds.”
Today, she is a real estate investor as well as the CEO and co-founder of Real Estate InvestHER, whose mission is to empower women in real estate to live a financially free and balanced life. Real Estate InvestHER reaches thousands of current and aspiring female real estate investors through a weekly podcast, mentorship, an online community, worldwide meetups and an Amazon bestselling book, “The Only Woman in the Room: Knowledge and Inspiration from 20 Successful Real Estate Women Investors.”
Guidelli Says eXp’s Global Platform, Innovation Is Perfect for Her Business
In order to reach real estate agents who also want to invest in real estate, Guidelli and Real Estate InvestHER co-founder Liz Faircloth joined eXp Realty in May 2021. They have launched the InvestHER eXp Team, which is led by eXp ICON Agent Jonna Weber.
“We were looking to join a brokerage with a worldwide presence. We are growing rapidly and we wanted to support agents the same way we support investors. We need each other and our platform can make this connection,” Guidelli said.

Sponsored by ONE eXp, eXp’s diversity and inclusion initiative, proceeds went to Women for Women International, a charity that provides women survivors of war and conflict with social and economic skills to transform their lives.
Guidelli said she looks forward to hosting more classes for eXp real estate agents.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Working from wherever I want, whenever I want, with whomever I want, as often as I want.
Who is the person you most admire?
All the single moms out there who work hard to provide a home and a memorable life to their children. Your bravery inspires me every day.
One thing you can’t live without?
Inner peace. Being at peace with myself and knowing I have truly done my best is what matters at the end of the day … in business and in life in general.
One trait that has led to your success?
Determination. As an immigrant from Brazil, I was able to move to the U.S. without knowing a single person, graduate with a master’s degree without a student loan, build a successful real estate business, go through a divorce and rebuild all over again because I was determined.
What celebrity would play you in a movie or TV show?
Frida Kahlo.
Pet peeve?
Lack of integrity. If one gives their word, one must follow. If someone does not respect my time, I have no interest in doing business together.
Little known fact about yourself?
I made two documentaries when in college, one being in Cuba.
Song you never tire of?
“Go Your Own Way” by Fleetwood Mac.
Favorite meal?
Eggplant pizza, burrata salad, soup dumplings and anything that has hummus in it.
