In early 2017, husband-and-wife team Calvin and Terri Bridges-Gleaton were running one of the highest rated independent property management companies in Atlanta. Strategizing how to be more competitive and gain access to innovative resources that would streamline their brokerage, they considered moving to a franchise model. 

Then they heard about eXp Realty. 

“Initially, the virtual concept was not a characteristic we wanted to gravitate to,” Terri said. “We had a large footprint in the Atlanta market and were proud of the brand we had built. We had our own 4,000-square-foot office space. However, the financials made sense. The stocks were appealing because we could do the math and knew we would consistently hit ICON Agent status.”

They joined eXp Realty in March 2017 and since then, their team has closed millions in real estate sales each year.

Terri and Calvin also lead The Wealthy Group, a national real estate community committed to the advancement and success of real estate agents. Every Monday and Friday, The Wealthy Group leads a mastermind of more than 100 eXp Realty agents. The Wealthy Group also hosts real estate retreats across the U.S. with industry experts and top-performing real estate agents. 

Through the Black eXp Network’s Agent Accelerator Academy, Terri has taught classes about time blocking and time management. 

Terri is a certified military relocation specialist and a member of the eXp Military Network.

“I am militant about protecting my time,” Terri said. “I served 13 years in the United States Navy so I just do NOT play when it comes to time management. Effective time management can make the difference between surviving versus thriving.”

Terri is also a certified Military Relocation Professional (MRP) through the National Association of Realtors and a member of the eXp Military Network, a veteran-centric community dedicated to the unique needs of military veterans and military veterans building real estate careers.

“I was attending the Palmas Del Mar, Puerto Rico, B.E.N. Summit in 2021 and met with (eXp influencer) Gene Frederick. He shared his success with revenue share and it was a game changer for me. This shifted my mindset.”

What is one thing about eXp that surprised you?

“The surprising thing about eXp is the agents truly care about each other all across the globe.  There is harmony in co-oping, sharing concepts, tools and resources. Out of the 80,000 agents and brokers, you are bound to find someone that has experienced and is excelling in an area you want to grow in and you can best believe you will be assisted if not given the entire blueprint.”

Have you had any experience or success around eXp’s global revenue share and commercial businesses?

“I love the revenue share. It feels amazing to know the opportunity to build wealth with leveraged income just by connecting with other agents.”

Best tip to share with other agents:

“I believe agents should run their business like a business. Start by clocking in for yourself the same way corporations hold employees accountable to their job.”
