Fred Tessier has a resume that is constantly evolving. He is a real estate investor and the head of a marketing agency whose clients include Google, MetLife, Nestle and BMW to name a few. So when it came time to add Realtor® to his CV, he decided to join eXp Realty in 2020.

And now add “TV star” to Fred’s resume after he led his New Jersey clients to a successful purchase on “NAR’s First-Time Homebuyer Show,” a real estate TV series debuting on Hulu for Season 2 on Episode 3.
“Me and my team (Tessier Property Group) have been making great strides throughout the real estate industry with our great social presence. Then, out of the blue, we got a call from a TV producer for NAR and Hulu (who saw our social media presence) and wanted to feature me on the TV series called ‘First-Time Buyer.’ At first, I thought it was a prank, but they sent their production crew to New Jersey, pitched the episode and I walked them through the whole journey of what took place with my clients. Everything you saw really happened during the purchase journey.”
While Fred is still running his marketing agency, he’s also growing his real estate business by investing in future properties to rent and flip.

“Whether it be agents in various markets/regions, or leaders within the organization, they are all very collaborative and they are all here to help each other grow. There’s not ever a time that I’ve reached out to someone here and didn’t get a response back within 12 hours or less. We’re a family and it truly shows!”
Best tip to share with other agents:
“Focus less on competitive nature and focus more on collaboration. In addition, stay in your own lane and do not follow the crowd. Find your niche, find what works best for you and grow it to the highest potential. Finally, be consistent, continue to educate yourself in all things real estate, and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS plan! You won’t go far in life by trying to ‘wing it’. Have a vision, plan for it, strategize it and then execute it!”

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Spending quality time with my family, my wife Daurisa and our son Jordan. They are my air!
Who is the person you most admire?
As a born-again Christian, the person that I admire the most is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What HE did on that cross for me, my life, my family and for all humanity… It’s priceless!
One thing you can’t live without?
My cell phone! OMG, I would die! LOL! But on a serious note, prayer and my relationship with God.
One trait that has led to your success?
The audacity of unwavered Faith and Hope.
What celebrity would play you in a movie or TV show?
I constantly hear that I look like Daymond John from Shark Tank. I personally think I’m more handsome (haha), so perhaps he would be the one to play me in a film! If not him, I would say Columbus Short.
Pet peeve?
People who arrive late to meetings, and people who continuously make excuses. You have no idea how much this bothers me! In addition, people that are extremely cocky, ego-driven, loud-mouthed, and aren’t humbled… And, people who speak on speakerphone in public places!
Little known fact(s) about yourself?
- I was a radio DJ in college at the Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University on WLIU 88.1 FM. (Hence where my radio voice comes from).
- I started my career after college in the music business, serving as Marketing Lead at Sony Music Distribution for Epic and Columbia Records. I also interned at Epic Records.
- I founded and currently run a successful marketing/advertising agency called Keen Management Group Inc.
- I am completely grateful and unashamed about my love for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
- I love to box and spar in the ring.
