Freedom and an exit strategy. After much soul searching, that’s why Clifton Johnson decided to leave his former brokerage after six years to join eXp Realty.
“I decided to bring my team over in 2017 because of the ability to build multiple streams of income as an investor and entrepreneur,” Clifton said.
Clifton first became acquainted with eXp after one of the top agents on his seven-person team left to join the brokerage. After doing his own due diligence, he came on board with four people and as of November 2022, has grown his team to 143 people.
Johnson Says eXp Realty’s Top Producers Are Deeply Collaborative
Throughout his time at eXp, he has especially appreciated the advice its high-level producers, business owners and entrepreneurs provided.
“They’ve shared their thoughts on how to scale your business, how to leverage certain systems and how to attract more agents,” Clifton said.
In 2023, Clifton wants to personally attract an additional 60 agents to the organization, hit his 6X ICON Agent designation and engage more with current eXp Realty agents in order to take his business to the next level. He also has his eye on the future, specifically his path toward retirement. Johnson is currently 43, and plans to retire in five years.
“One of my passions is becoming a developer, and as my career progresses, moving more into that rehab/development function,” Clifton said. “Through building my revenue share, and with the advice of so many leaders, eXp lays the groundwork for an exit strategy from real estate production to retirement.”
