Sean Palmer was just 24 years old when he sold his first business to a Fortune 500 company. That’s when he realized he had an irrefutable passion for building, buying and selling companies worldwide. That entrepreneurial passion eventually led him to eXp Commercial, joining in June 2021.
Sean grew up in Alabama, working for his family’s business, which mainly catered to Fortune 500 companies in the food service industry. After 12 years with his family’s company, Sean got his dad’s permission to step away and start his own business. He sold his stock and took off on an adventure that led him across the country and eventually the world, establishing himself as a serial entrepreneur. He became a multi-talented businessman with “Swiss Army knife business capabilities” to work as a consultant, mergers and acquisitions adviser (M&A) and international franchising expert.
“I had a bug that I didn’t realize. I enjoyed creating something much larger than just a local company,” Sean said. “When you can meet people all over the world, expand your horizons and experience the way business is done in other countries, you realize the vast benefits of creating something that exists in more than just the United States and it’s exhilarating.”

With more than 30 years of experience in multiple industries, Sean joined eXp Commercial in June 2021 to focus on business brokering and mergers and acquisitions within eXp Commercial. He was motivated by eXp’s unique business model, world-class training programs, and global network that allows eXp Commercial business advisers to reach across state lines and international markets to get deals done in a way that no other brokerage has been able to accomplish.
“The reason eXp Commercial will be successful in the business brokerage and mergers and acquisitions businesses is that we are one global company with one global network with highly productive agents and brokers who need these professionals to refer this business to,” he explained.
