Through the years, Justin Watson has greatly benefited from the advice given by his coaching team, growing to eight agents and becoming the No. 1 Century 21 team in units in Pennsylvania and the No. 2 team in commissions. So when his mentors suggested he can grow even bigger if he joined eXp Realty, he listened.

“We just couldn’t grow anymore,” said Justin, who runs a team in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania, and is also licensed in Maryland and Florida.  “That’s why I also chose eXp, to help with training and to grow into other states. The model allows me to step back a little and let eXp do some of the work.”

Justin is mentored by eXp Realty agent Dan Lesniak and his wife, Keri Shull, who run the HyperFast Agent coaching program. “I’ve known Dan for three years and he’s the reason why I have the team I have today. They are always ahead of the game with trends that are coming, whether it’s Facebook Groups or the concept of teams being the new thing.”

“Nothing Good Comes Easy’

Justin’s start in real estate was as a part-time agent. When his full-time job disappeared in 2016, he turned to real estate full time, but it was not smooth sailing. Justin and his family hit rock-bottom, and even his car was repossessed. 

“Nothing good comes easy. What I have today is because of what I went through a few years ago,” said Justin.

“eXp is the future. When I told my (C21) broker we were transitioning out, they asked me a lot of questions about the cloud-based brokerage and I thought it was going to be a smooth process. However, we were then told to leave that day and that they would be taking 25% of our pending deals (28 transactions).  I was told it was ‘just business.’ ”
