Innovation and an eye to the future are the hallmarks of eXp World Holdings and that strategy continues with the recent acquisition of Showcase IDX, a leading real estate search technology company currently based in Atlanta, Georgia.
As any real estate agent, buyer, seller or real estate aficionado will tell you, it’s all about search. That’s why eXp acquired Showcase IDX — to focus on creating a home-search platform with greater breadth and depth of listings for the consumer to more easily connect with eXp Realty agents.
For any real estate agent, Showcase IDX’s IDX search plugin for WordPress provides property search via online and mobile viewing, lead generation, state-of-the-art mapping, and CRM tools and integrations in over 70 markets across the U.S.
“We’re very impressed by the technology and talent that Showcase IDX has assembled, and we look forward to working together to expand eXp’s reach by creating a consumer portal for home search, market intelligence and agent marketing,” said eXp World Holdings CEO and Founder Glenn Sanford. “Together, we have big plans to help agents engage with consumers in a more significant way, and ultimately build their business.”
While wholly-owned by eXp World Holdings, Showcase IDX will continue to operate independently and will still support services for its existing customers, which are thousands of agents from North American brokerages. According to the eXp World Holdings press release announcing the deal, “Showcase IDX’s Founder and CEO Scott Lockhart and all staff will remain, moving the company’s Atlanta-based operations to a team suite in VirBELA Open Campus, a free virtual world where anyone can host or attend immersive online events, meetings and classes.”
