Chris Knighton, the founder and team leader for Knighton Real Estate Advisors, a powerhouse agency in Grimsby, Ontario, is the latest broker to bring his mega team to eXp Realty Canada.
With 14 agents and four full-time staff members, Knighton closed on $150,000,000 in sales on 180 transactions in the past year. Chris called it the right time to leave Keller Williams for eXp Realty Canada.
“Many different people have reached out to us over the years, and we were very close to making the move in 2021, but the timing for us wasn’t right. But since then, I have personally seen a shift in the growth and potential of eXp Canada,’’ Chris said.
“I am excited to help build our businesses and the eXp brand moving forward. I can see the trajectory in Canada for the future with massive growth and lots of opportunities,’’ he said.
The Build-Out of eXp Canada is Turning Heads
eXp Realty Canada’s momentum has been building with top producing teams and agents joining in the past year, including Ibrahim Hussein with Affinity, Justin Havre with the Justin Havre Real Estate Team and Katrina Amurao and Neil Bellosillo with Katrina & Team.
“Ibrahim was pivotal in helping us make the move and the stable of talent in his downline environment was what excited me most,” said Chris. “Collaborating with some of the highest levels of producers in the industry will elevate our game and allow us to grow to that next level. This will be impactful for our business at Knighton Real Estate Advisors not only for our team members, but more importantly our clients.”
The focus in Canada by eXp was not lost on Knighton. eXp Realty Canada has added technological and logistical firepower – including the launch of eXp Luxury in Canada – to the expanding network of Canadian agents and teams who help make up eXp’s global tally of 89,000 agents.
A seasoned real estate broker who launched a successful brokerage in Houston, Texas, Knighton moved back home to the Golden Horseshoe region of Ontario in 2012. Since then, Knighton has scaled a massive real estate team that now calls eXp Realty Canada the right place for them and their clients.
“I’m not going to lie. The first time we were planning to make a move, eXp Canada was not situated in a manner that I felt comfortable moving our team into. I felt like it would have been a step back for us. Since then, the change and Canadian-centric growth is phenomenal. I am excited to grow the business with the leadership team and they, along with the Brokers of Record that we have connected with, have gotten me extremely excited and passionate about the next phase of our business,’’ Chris said.
