Chris Craddock’s entire life has always been about serving others and leading large teams and volunteers. He found his role as a pastor to be deeply fulfilling, but unrealistic in supporting his family, including six children. So what did he choose as a side hustle? Real estate.
“I started flipping houses to make ends meet,” said Chris. “All opportunities seem to be born out of some kind of pain. If you can solve other people’s problems, you can make a lot of money.”
Chris’ family had a background in real estate investing, so he knew that’s where money can be made.
“I read (Keller Williams founder) Gary Keller’s book and it resonated with me. I read “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” and it just changed my life,” said Chris.
Armed with book knowledge and a strong determination, Chris set out knocking on doors and did remarkably well in a short period of time. He eventually started The Redux Group in 2014 and had one other agent on his team — David Mount, a buyer’s agent. It has now grown to 21 agents and 15 for back-office support. David is now COO.
Chris’ timing for joining eXp in April 2021 was Providential.
“I love Keller Williams — they helped me be where I am today. But I had an issue in expanding in the model I was in. It was not working and I needed to figure something out. I got a call at the right time. The eXp model just made sense so we could build something for our team.”
It’s clear Chris has found a means to easily support his family, as well as derive the deep pleasure that has always suited him: helping others.
“Every morning I wake up and I think — how can I create more opportunities for my team and the people in my world? I get the biggest satisfaction in life from seeing my friends and teammates grow with me and to be able to provide for their families, and achieve their wildest dreams,” said Chris.

Why did you join eXp?
“eXp allows my team members to build wealth well beyond their next transaction. Expansion in other organizations is massively difficult because they are tied to an old business model and they can’t break free. eXp’s virtual model allows us to expand our business quickly, efficiently, and effectively, and helps us provide tremendous value to our clients and partnering agents.”
What makes eXp special to you?
“eXp allows everyone in our organization to grow and build wealth — not just the team leader or brokerage owner.”
Is there a significant experience you can share since you joined eXp?
“Overall we’re in a good place. We are happy with eXp and the broker (Christine Singhass) is amazing. Just being a part of this with Lars (Hedenborg) as our sponsor has been excellent. It’s a great org and great team to run with.”
What is one thing about eXp that surprised you?
“I heard the broker piece was subpar, but my admin said it’s the easiest thing to deal with. Everything gets approved quickly and there’s easy access. Quickly and efficiently. I am really happy that it has been a smooth process and transition. My admin says it’s better than where we were before.”
Best tip to share with other agents:
“Winning in real estate is about activity and skill. And if you talk to enough people you’re going to do a lot of sales. Even a bad salesperson who talks to enough people will do better than a good salesperson who doesn’t talk to enough people.”
