Chris Bear is Vice President of eXponential Growth at eXp Realty and is responsible for driving company growth and leading the transition process for brokerages and mega teams joining eXp.
Chris oversees agent attraction training efforts, high-level brokerage conversations and negotiations, and works with top influencers to help their attraction efforts and help develop best practices.
Prior to joining eXp, Chris was co-owner of an independent brokerage in Brevard County, Florida, that was ranked in the top 30 out of 500 brokerages in his market. As an individual agent, he was consistently ranked in the top 2% for sales for the United States. Having been involved in thousands of real estate transactions and running a brokerage, he truly understands the obstacles and opportunities agents face.
Chris joined eXp in August 2017 as an agent and in his first year sold 86 homes and attracted more than 100 agents to his group. At the beginning of 2019, Chris was asked to take the role of Vice President of Growth with eXp and stepped out of production to focus on his new assignment. During this time, Chris was involved in helping grow the company from 16,000 agents to more than 40,000 by the end of Q4 2020.
Chris Bear’s Background: Chris served 13 years in law enforcement. Starting at age 19, he was a full-time deputy sheriff in Florida and went on to work with the elite undercover unit, apprehending more than 1,000 suspected criminals. He went on to become a Florida Department of Law Enforcement instructor at age 23 where he taught at local colleges around the state.
Chris is a private pilot and in his free time, he enjoys exploring new places with his wife Kristen and their two children, Elijah and Ashlyn. They especially enjoy traveling to the Bahamas. Chris and his family split their time between their two homes — one in the hills of North Carolina and one on the beach in Florida. When not flying, Chris can be found enjoying outdoor adventures.
