Out of Job, Levi Dives Deep Into Social Media
Levi had a booming financial services business, traveling to 24 countries in three years. But when COVID hit, his world got rocked and his business ground to a halt. His longtime friend, eXp Realty agent Michael Reese, suggested real estate – something Levi knew nothing about, but at the age of 41, he knew he needed to start over.
“Instead of spending the day watching ‘Tiger King,’ I thought, ‘I better start researching,’” Levi said, immersing himself in studying social platforms – Facebook, TikTok and Instagram. None appealed to him, so he bought the book, “YouTube Secrets: The Ultimate Guide to Growing Your Following and Making Money as a Video Influencer” and it just resonated.
“It helped me understand that YouTube is a search engine,” said Levi. “People are searching for info about Dallas. I thought, “We have to get into the mind of the consumer – which is not ‘let’s find a real estate agent, but teach me about Dallas.’ ”
Contact to Under Contract Average Is 47 Days
Levi and Travis quickly went to work, creating all kinds of videos about Dallas and the surrounding suburbs. They have 348 videos to date – all extremely captivating and well-produced, helped by the good looks and charming nature of Levi and Travis. Their average contact to under-contract timeframe is 47 days.
Levi said their YouTube success wasn’t without a lot of deep research or planning.
“We studied the platform for two months and applied it to real estate. Then we created a business plan on how often to publish, topics/cities to hit, keywords and other strategies. We started getting seven leads a day from YouTube. It got so out of hand we had to start a team. “
Levi said that since January, they have five brand-new agents who are making six figures from the leads.

“Find someone at the top that got there the way you can see yourself getting there. Figure out how they got there, what they are doing now, how you can model it and adjust it to fit your personality, and how you can do better!”
