Nashville’s Jason Galaz has found success as a real estate agent by being present, knowledgeable and helpful. It’s advice he shares with other agents and it’s a mentality he found at eXp Realty when he joined the brokerage in January 2020.

Tennessee’s Jason Galaz proudly advocates for the Spanish-speaking community to help them become homeowners.

Jason believes the culture at eXp Realty organically encourages growth.

“One of the most significant opportunities I discovered is the one-on-one mentorship that top producing agents of the entire brokerage make available,” he said. “Anyone can train new agents, but what really helped me, and what I needed to hear, was how to go from good to great!” 

In addition to his role as a team leader at eXp, Jason is a two-year board member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) and plans to run for chapter president next year as well.

“I very much appreciate the open support of minority groups eXp exhibits. It was a factor of why I joined, and I consider myself a bridge between communities.”

NAHREP, Jason said, also gives him the opportunity to be that bridge, from a service perspective. And in the coming year, Jason plans to continue practicing what he preaches.

“I’ve been attracting agents to eXp organically, just by sharing the incredible resources and advantages available to us as agents. My voice will get louder on that as I expand across state lines in 2023.”

Additionally, Jason is preparing to launch Tennessee’s first all-Spanish language real estate website on all 11 MLS feeds in the state. 

“English-speaking homebuyers have all the listings in the state on major sites like Zillow,” said Jason. “But for non-English speakers, they have to search for a translation button. Mine will start in Spanish. From there, I will build out a portion of the site for every other state to build a large referral network. My goal is to partner with eXp agents to do this.”

When and why did you join eXp?

“eXp won me over when I met a few team leads that had previously owned franchises of the same brokerage where I had been working. What better sign to jump ship from the old model than that? It saved me from going down the same path.”

What is one thing about eXp that surprised you?

“Marketing listings to the public without MLS access is a big no-no, we all know that. But, sharing in-office is not. The eXp office is 84,000 agents deep, and not divided into franchised offices. Making my very large brokerage aware of upcoming listings helps generate buzz.”

What kind of collaboration have you experienced at eXp?

“I am most excited by the invitation from the Dan Beer team to shadow their integrator in-person and learn all the standardized processes and techniques of the No. 1 team in San Diego. I will take what I learn and connect my referral business to top converting agents and teams nationwide.”

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

To provide for my daughter after I am gone, but to raise her to not need it.

Who is the person you most admire?

My grandfather. He took his first job at the age of 8 to help his widowed mother. That work ethic runs through our family like lightning.

One thing you can’t live without?

Burritos, but I am known for tacos.

One trait that has led to your success?

I’m too dumb to stop fighting after a whippin’.  That’s how I get ahead in business. I watch everyone quit.

What celebrity would play you in a movie or TV show?

Jason Momoa for the forehead and Homer Simpson for the Dad bod.

Pet peeve?

Open mouth eaters and people that talk with food in their mouth.

Little known fact about yourself?

I own a company in Europe that has hosted a small music festival in Belgium for a decade.
