Sponsorship Builds on Existing Commitment to LGBTQ+ Community, Fair Housing, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

eXp Realty®, the fastest-growing global residential real estate company and a core subsidiary of eXp World Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXPI), today announced its commitment as a Champion Level Sponsor of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, one of the nation’s leading LGBTQ+ trade organizations with more than 2,200 members.

Founded in June 2020, the Alliance is dedicated to empowering the LGBTQ+ community on the path to homeownership and advocating for fair housing. Only 49.8% of LGBTQ+ people own homes, according to an April 2020 report from UCLA’s Williams Institute, while 29 U.S. states do not have laws that protect the LGBTQ+ community from discrimination, according to the Human Rights Campaign’s 2021 State Equality Index.

As a Champion Level Sponsor, eXp Realty will contribute to Alliance programming, events and education that improve homeownership rates. These efforts will build on eXp Realty’s existing commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, fair housing, diversity, equity and inclusion.

“We are honored to work with the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance to improve the real estate industry and address instances of discrimination,” said Michael Valdes, President of eXp Global. “The Alliance complements our existing efforts at eXp Realty to support diversity, equity and inclusion, which have contributed to eXp Realty’s agent retention rate, engagement and positive NPS scores (Net Promoter Scores).”

Through ONE eXp, eXp Realty’s diversity, equity, belonging and inclusion initiative, a group of more than 5,280 eXp Realty agents and staff are working to build eXp Realty into the most diverse and inclusive real estate brokerage in the world. ONE eXp also oversees 12 affinity groups, including the eXp PRIDE Network, which provides support to more than 1,000 members and hosts an annual Pride Month celebration in eXp World, the company’s metaverse powered by Virbela, an eXp World Holdings subsidiary.

“The LGBTQ+ community is a vital and growing demographic that eXp Realty is proud to serve and we are constantly seeking better ways to do so for our agents and their clients, as well as our employees,” said Cody Gilkeson, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Business Partner at eXp Realty.

Additionally, eXp Realty agents Ronnie DeVoe and Marvetta Bozeman have joined the National Fair Housing Alliance on a national tour to promote the “Keys Unlock Dreams” initiative, designed to remove structural barriers that perpetuate racial inequality, expand affordable and fair housing options, prevent an unbalanced recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, empower consumers and stakeholders with critical information and resources, and help close the racial wealth and homeownership gaps.
