NAR settlement timeline

As part of the landmark settlement reached in the class-action lawsuit against the National Association of Realtors (NAR), significant changes are on the horizon. The NAR Settlement, designed to increase transparency and fairness in real estate transactions, mandates that all Realtor® Multiple Listing Services (MLSs) implement new policy changes by August 17, 2024. This deadline is critical as it marks the beginning of a new era in the real estate industry, fundamentally altering the way buyer brokers operate.
