In November 2021, eXp’s share plans were officially recognized by the Global Equity Organization with a GEO Award in the Most Innovative & Creative Plan Design category.
GEO Awards celebrate companies from around the world who demonstrate leadership, innovation and dedication to their employee stock plans. The Most Innovative & Creative Plan Design category recognizes companies for their creativity in working around potential stumbling blocks in developing and implementing global share plans. Measurements in this category include how well the plan was creatively adapted to local tax and regulatory laws, innovative ways to increase employee participation and excitement and how the plan differs from competitors or industry norms.

“eXp is commended for their commitment to deliver employee share ownership in a field where this form of compensation is not typically found,” said Danyle Anderson, Fellow of Global Equity and Executive Director of the Global Equity Organization. “This inspirational organization also undertook the challenge of providing equity to contractors — a challenge that is often avoided due to its complexity.”
The Global Equity Organization also recognized eXp for navigating foreign market securities and taxation laws as it expands globally.
“We do hear a lot about the growth of the company, but at the end of the day the model is designed to give back to our agents and that’s what we do,” said Jeff Whiteside, CFO and Chief Collaboration Officer of eXp World Holdings. “In the third quarter of 2021, for example, we paid $48.7 million in revenue share to our real estate agents.”
eXp World Holdings’ award-winning share plan has been overseen by law firm Baker McKenzie, accounting firm Deloitte and broker Shareworks by Morgan Stanley.
