It’s happening! The first day of eXpcon Canada, eXp Realty’s three-day conference in Toronto, kicked off on Wednesday. eXp agents arrived from across the country to take advantage of several days filled with valuable breakout sessions, insightful panels, and motivational keynotes.

This is the second eXpcon Canada, being held May 8-10 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. 

eXp agents took advantage of exclusive certification opportunities such as the Revenos Fast-track Relocation Certification, eXp Luxury Fast-track Certification, and an Online Lead Conversion Certification by Zoocasa. The day concluded with a vibrant welcome reception, setting the tone for two exciting days ahead.

90 Agents Take Revenos Fast-track Relocation Certification 

Cindy Nixon, the Senior Director of Global Relocation at eXp Realty, taught the Relocation Certification course, a thorough three-hour program provided by Revenos, eXp’s buyer and seller referral platform.

Ninety agents capitalized on the complimentary opportunity. Upon certification, agents become eligible to receive lucrative relocation referrals through the Revenos referral platform.

“Facilitating international moves involves extensive preparation, paperwork, and specialized expertise,” said Cindy. “Consider your relocation pitch akin to a job interview; your presentations serve as your professional resumes.”

Getting a Foot In the Door With eXp Luxury

Senior Vice President of Growth Amy Weaver kicked off the program and introduced eXp Luxury agent and eXp Luxury Council member Janie Coffey, who led a free, half-day session to become certified for eXp Luxury. 

eXp Luxury agent and Luxury Council member Janie Coffey said the only thing you need to sell luxury real estate is a real estate license.

More than 150 agents attended the fast-track certification that gives agents who currently fall outside of the luxury production requirements an alternative path to membership. 

“You don’t need a luxury background to be a luxury agent,” said Janie. “You just need the fire. The one tool you need to have to sell luxury real estate is a real estate license. It’s not about the car, the country club membership, or your education. It’s all about confidence and knowledge.”

Certification for Online Lead Conversion Offered by Zoocasa

About 60 agents attended this free, three-hour certification class that taught them how to convert online leads. 

Brittany Kostov and Anthony Tomasone led the Online Lead Conversion course.

Zoocasa’s Brittany Kostov and Anthony Tomasone provided tips on the magic words that can turn inquiries into appointments and offered strategies that could 10X agents’ conversion rate. This training taught agents how to elevate their business, from appointments to signed contracts. 

“Treat every lead and every opportunity like they are the Queen coming to town,” said Brittany. “Roll out the red carpet for them when it comes to the level of service you provide.”

Top Producer Mastermind With Jon Cheplak 

eXp Realty’s top producers in Canada were treated to an exclusive mastermind with eXp Realty Chief Growth Officer Michael Valdes and Chief Learning Officer Bryon Ellington leading a daylong discussion about eXp Realty, the industry and what’s coming next. 

Motivational real estate coach Jon Cheplak spoke at the event, attended by more than 140 agents.

“Organizations, and your teams, grow from the bottom up,” said Jon. “You’re either constantly coaching your team up or coaching them out. You can drive out good talent by not holding a standard.”

After the opening session, Michael and Chief Operating Officer Patrick O’Neill led a mastermind for team leaders. They were also joined by Chief Marketing Officer Wendy Forsythe and Renée Kaspar, EVP & Chief HR Officer of eXp’s People Team.

Bryon led a discussion with individual agents and was joined by Senior VP of Growth Nadia Habib and VP of Brokerage Operations Nathalie Goodyer.

EXPO Hall Filled With Vendors

The EXPO Hall, which was accessible all afternoon, was filled with vendors and merchants offering the latest products and emerging technology to help agents amplify their business. 

Welcome Reception Wrapped Up Day 1

On Wednesday evening, a welcome reception provided a vibrant atmosphere for real estate agents to come together, reconnect with familiar faces, and create new connections. As agents mingled and exchanged stories, the energy reflected the anticipation for the exciting days ahead. From seasoned industry veterans to fresh faces eager to make their mark, the reception served as the perfect kickoff to eXpcon Canada 2024.
