Los Angeles-based eXp Realty agent Jahi Johnson recently helped his client purchase a stunning 6,000-square-foot home in Encino for $4.9 million. The previous owner? LL Cool J. The property, originally listed for $5.9M offered the perfect blend of privacy and understated luxury, making it an ideal fit for Johnson’s buyer.
“My client loved the privacy and the unassuming look of the property from the street,” said Johnson. “When you look at the house from the outside, it doesn’t look like a 6,000-square-foot mansion, and that was a big draw.”
But the home took on even greater significance when Johnson revealed its notable former owner.
“When I told my client whose house it was, she went from really liking the house to absolutely needing to have it,” Johnson shared. “She’s a die-hard fan, born and raised in Brooklyn, so it was a special purchase for her.”
The Altman Brothers Represented the Seller
The deal closed in under 30 days, a testament to Johnson’s expertise and the smooth collaboration with the Altman Brothers, the listing agents known from the Bravo hit series “Million Dollar Listing.”
“The transaction was very smooth, and working with the Altman Brothers made it an enjoyable negotiation,” Johnson said.
This sale represents the second biggest transaction of Johnson’s career, following an earlier success this year when he helped NBA player Delon Wright purchase a home for $4,998,750.

“This year has been incredible,” Johnson said. “Helping my clients find homes they love, especially ones with unique personal significance, is what makes this work so rewarding.”
