In just the second month of joining eXp Realty in 2018, Arizona agents Fred Weaver and Kevin Kauffman made more in revenue share than the entire previous year of profit-sharing with their previous brokerage*.
And, despite COVID-19 challenges, Kauffman says their business has really taken off in the last six months, forecasting they will exceed their 2019 numbers by 32%. Kauffman and Weaver sold $65 million on 214 transactions in 2019 and are trending to do $90 million on 278 units for 2020.

Additionally, thanks to eXp’s borderless expansion business model, Weaver and Kauffman’s Group 46:10 has been able to grow to 40 agents across four states.
“We are having more fun in real estate in the last two years than at any other company ever before,” said Kauffman.
The two are ego-less, which is a testament to their success and the inspiration for their Group 46:10 team name, derived from the scripture of Isaiah 46:10, and summarized as habit No. 2 in Stephen Covey’s best-selling book, “7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” which states “Begin with the end in mind.”
“It was a business principle that just stuck out to us — it just made sense,” said Kauffman who added that neither he nor Weaver wanted their names on the business.
“When it comes to partnerships, we are a well-oiled machine — or as close as it can get,” said Kauffman. “We never let egos get in the way, we don’t argue over money. We’re both into it for the outcome. We know where we are going and what we want to accomplish.”

When and why did you join eXp?
“We joined in June 2018 about six months after our friend Curtis Johnson joined the company. We were looking for a brokerage to move to for over a year before finally settling on eXp. eXp had the national brokerage presence so we wanted to be able to run our expansion team more easily and it had a great compensation plan for us. The appeal of revenue share, stock and collaborating with Curtis Johnson at a higher level also played a huge role in our decision.”

“eXp Realty is extremely special to us as it is an entrepreneurial company that rewards its agents relative to their contributions (vs. a traditional franchise system). It has put the power back into the hands of real estate agents. eXp is truly special because of the collaboration and partnerships that are formed inside the company that are unmatched in other companies.”

“We’re not surprised at one thing, but at several. First, we are surprised at how great the broker support is. Second, how stock awards and the agent equity program are built to reward agents’ production and third, how open and collaborative everyone is.”

“As our coach always says, ‘You can’t deposit hope. This business is all about effort and consistency, not wishful thinking.’”
