Devin Doherty’s background in technology and passion for innovation in the real estate space brought him to the conclusion that eXp Realty is the best platform for real estate professionals.
Doherty’s accomplishments and track record of success in the real estate industry are substantial. Over the last few decades, Doherty has consulted for Fortune 500 companies (including KPMG), run highly successful real estate sales and investing businesses (including his current top-producing team, Doherty Real Estate Group based in Orange County, California), and co-founded one of the top five real estate sales networks in the country (Five Doors Network of Keller Williams).
He has also served as a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Mega Achievement Productivity Systems (MAPS) coach to the top-tier agents and leaders at Keller Williams, and enjoyed being part of Gary Keller’s mastermind group for years.
In 2019, Five Doors was honored by REAL Trends as the sixth-highest producing real estate team in the country with 1,856 closings and $476 million in sales volume. As Five Doors grew rapidly over the past several years, Doherty met with every top brokerage owner and company in the country to discuss whether any of them could meet the needs of an innovative business that was growing exponentially. Through these meetings, Doherty learned what the executives of every top company in the country could offer, but in the end, he felt eXp had what he was looking for and he decided to move his license to eXp.

At a young age, Doherty was a computer wiz who caught the eye of IBM, where he was hired as a teenager in its student technology program. He eventually worked for Apple in its early days, collaborating with founder Steve Wozniak in the Irvine office.
Doherty was enticed to look seriously at a career in real estate in 1991, through his wife’s family. He found himself working on everything from bank-owned properties, to short sales, investing, 1031 exchanges, flipping and building, and even getting his general contractor license.
