Tammy Register, one of the most respected real estate leaders in the Raleigh-Durham metro area, has announced that she and her team, The Tammy Register Team, have officially joined eXp Realty. Register brings with her an impressive group of 15 agents and five operational staff, making a major move from Keller Williams Realty after a decade-long tenure. (Read the press release here.)

In 2024, The Tammy Register Team closed $88,309,000 in sales across 316 units, earning recognition as one of the top-performing medium teams in North Carolina. The team’s production success has consistently landed them on the RealTrends America’s Best list, including ranking as the Number 1 and Number 2 Medium Team in North Carolina (by units) in 2022 and 2023 respectively. Tammy was also recently featured as a Triangle Real Producers Cover Agent in February 2025.
A Measured Decision Two and a Half Years in the Making
Tammy’s decision to transition her powerhouse team was not made lightly. After spending nearly 10 years at Keller Williams (July 2015-April 2025) and more than a decade prior at HomeTowne Realty (Nov. 2003-July 2015), Tammy was drawn to eXp’s unique model after a thoughtful, two-and-a-half-year exploration process.
Introduced to the opportunity by eXp Realty’s April Stephens, Tammy ultimately found that eXp’s collaborative and innovation-driven environment was exactly what she and her team had been seeking.
“Over the past decade, our team consistently led our former brokerage, achieving top performance month after month,” Tammy shared. “While this success was gratifying, it often felt isolating. We needed a community of peers navigating the same challenges — and we found that with eXp.”
Market Shifts Sparked a Search for New Solutions
The catalyst for Tammy’s decision began in 2022 when mortgage rates climbed sharply, creating one of the most challenging market shifts in decades. As market dynamics changed, adaptability and support became critical factors in sustaining and growing a real estate business.
Tammy and her leadership team began asking the tough questions about what was truly needed to thrive in the new real estate environment.
Discovering eXp’s Culture of Collaboration
Attending Brent Gove’s “One Big Fire” event ultimately solidified her vision. There, Tammy experienced first-hand eXp’s culture of collaboration – a culture where knowledge sharing and mentorship aren’t limited by office walls or titles.
“At eXp, the moment you need insight, strategy, or support, you’re tapping into a leadership team that has fifty times the experience and perspectives we were used to,” Tammy said. “It’s about collaboration, not competition. About collective growth, not individual gain.”
Early Impressions: Systems, Support, and Solutions
In just their first experiences with eXp, Tammy and her team have been highly impressed by the depth of resources, operational support, and leadership access across the company.
“Every challenge we have faced so far has been met with a solution. Every opportunity has been met with enthusiasm and real tactical support,” Tammy added. “When you remove the walls, the possibilities multiply.”
A Vision for Growth Without Limits
Looking ahead, Tammy sees eXp Realty not just as a brokerage, but as a true partner in scaling the future of her business, offering flexibility, global collaboration, and the ability to support her agents wherever life takes them.
