Life during the pandemic was challenging for almost everyone on the planet, so Jamie Parker is not complaining.
In 2020, the Atlanta-based eXp Realty ICON Agent and solo owner of Rockin Realty saw his marriage end in divorce, his father passed away from COVID-19, and yet still more adversity came his way.
Jamie was in a major car wreck. He was hit with a big insurance claim for one of his rental properties, and he had to fire the manager of the Atlanta Strings music store he owns in Atlanta.
It all added up to confirmation that Jamie had signed on with the right real estate brokerage.
“In 2020, eXp referrals kept my business going for an amazing fourth quarter. I’m pretty consistent and I was able to finish the year with $17 million in closings. I’ve never been at a place where people are willing to help each other so much. The ICON network is invaluable. The classes that are available are phenomenal and help us to grow as people as well as business owners,’’ he said.
Top Agents Moving to eXp Convinced Parker to Switch
Like a lot of seasoned real estate agents in the U.S. and around the world, Jamie said he was reluctant at first to give eXp Realty a hard look. He was a top agent in Atlanta and its high-volume suburbs.
But when other big-name agents Jamie respects joined eXp, he knew he had to think again about joining the virtual brokerage that now has more than 85,000+ agents worldwide.
“Peter Psareas reached out to me in December 2017 and let me know that Robb and Kim Campbell were coming out of real estate retirement to help launch eXp in Atlanta, and knew I needed to follow,’’ Jamie said.
Everything that has happened since then, including some tough times in 2020, have proved to Jamie he made the right decision.
“The leverage that comes with being an eXp agent and the multiple streams of income are amazing,’’ Jamie said.
Success Rate at eXp Realty Is Music to Parker’s Ears
The three-time ICON agent and Emerald Chairman’s Club Member closed $16.8 million in 2021. It’s the kind of performance that allows this community-minded agent to do what he loves best: Give back.
As a former public school teacher and musician, he plays piano and saxophone and is part of his church’s music ministry. Something most people don’t know about Jamie: He has performed with Ben Vereen and Bobby Vinton.
He’s also the publisher of Brookwood Family Living Magazine, a publication dedicated to highlighting families in Gwinnett County, a popular northeast section of the Atlanta suburbs.
With two teenage children himself, Jamie is as passionate about the quality of life in Atlanta as he is about helping clients buy and sell property. With the added benefit of eXp’s support and revenue stream, it’s added up to new high notes for this real estate musician.
